30x40x12 Metal Garage
for Matt Shields, NC
When Matt Shields got in touch about a 30x40x12 vertical-roof garage, he already had the footprint in mind. He needed it wide enough for multiple vehicles, tall enough for equipment clearance, and enclosed tight for year-round use.
What he didn’t want? Surprises.
That’s where our 3D Design Tool made the difference. It helped Matt visualize every detail before we moved forward—from roof pitch to panel orientation to door placement.
From start to finish, our team made sure the build matched his day-to-day needs—and made installation a breeze.
Matt’s Feedback
“Very great to deal with. My whole process was very smooth, and when I’m ready for my next project I will be using them!”

STEP 1: STARTING WITH THE BIG PICTURE
Matt knew he needed 1,200 square feet of clear space—but the use cases were more specific:
– Could two garage bays work side-by-side without blocking each other?
– Would there be enough wall height for overhead tools and lighting?
– Would side access make daily use more convenient?
We worked through those questions early to make sure the layout would serve his day-to-day routine—not just look good on paper.
STEP 2: DIALING IN THE DETAILS WITH OUR 3D DESIGN TOOL
That one step made all the difference.
We helped Matt customize every part of his building in the visualizer—door placement, wall height, panel direction, and clearance.
design in 3D
Our team worked closely with Matt at every step of the way, ensuring we provided a building that met both his needs and budget. From the very beginning, we guided him through the design process, making sure to stay with him through each step. We were there from design all the way through installation, ensuring every detail was handled with care.
He saw the exact look and flow of the space before a single bolt hit the slab. That helped him sign off with total confidence—and no second-guessing later.
We also walked through financing options early to keep things moving. Matt was able to lock in the structure he wanted while spreading out the cost.

- Scheduled shipping and crew based on ideal weather
STEP 4: INSTALLATION
When the install team rolled in, everything went smooth.
